Easy For You To Say

Deep Squats (Thoughts)

Thank you to Jay for sharing the clip above with me many years ago. As you can imagine, it has been sent to many a member and referenced in class. Well, now you’ll know where it comes from.

We are blessed to have numerous doctors and psychologists in the CFPA community. We have a lot of lawyers, teachers and law enforcement, too. Generally, I’d say that everyone in our gym is in some form of authority position. As such, I would also guess that we all just want to tell people to, “STOP IT!” at some time or another.

Not everyone will respond positively. But, don’t be offended. It’s nothing personal. We all have different triggers to take action or make change. The rise of David Goggins and Jocko Willink prove that a lot of people want plain, direct talk that isn’t watered down.

Another member told me that people make a mistake when they join a gym and try to add in lots of new behaviors all at once. The idea is this approach is quickly found to be unsustainable because you may already be having a tough time with what is on your plate. Instead, we should focus on “cutting” things out of our lives if we want to change habits and behaviors. In other words, we should tell ourselves to “STOP IT!”

Of course, I’m going to spin this into a plea for you to sign up for The Open. Stop making excuses.

Landman: Season 2

Texas oil fields drama.

Tim’s Takeaway:

Season 2 was just as good, or better, than Season 1. Do yourself a favor and watch it. The characters are larger than life, but it seems almost realistic in a ridiculous way.

Bonus for UFC fans is that a year of Paramount+ is less than two UFC pay per view fight nights, which you now get with your subscription.

Thank you for your support.

I look forward to what we will do together.
