Deep Squats (Thoughts)
We have a clue for 26.2!!!
The clue appears to be blowing in from @thedavecastro in this weeks clue.
A windy field? Do the pods on the grass mean something? What is your guess?
Each week we will have a contest for whoever can most accurately predict the 2026 Open workout that week. Guess the movements, the numbers, the time domain and YOU can win. Do NOT just say random movements. Make up an entire workout for your guess.
There will be a weekly prize for closest prediction.
Post your prediction HERE or to the CrossFit Palo Alto Facebook post for that week, starting now up until Thursday at 12pm PST. If your guess is closest, you earn a prize and bragging rights all day Saturday. To be eligible, just be a CrossFit Palo Alto member and be registered for the Open.
Here’s your chance to win the Open! Week 2 predictions start NOW! 3-2-1…GO!
By the way, we’re sitting at 116 registered participants! For sheer numbers of participants as a gym, we are ranked 146th in the world, 34th in The United States and 24th in North America West!!! Thank you to everyone that signed up. Now let’s show up to do the workouts.
When you show up, bring a score sheet from the CrossFit Open Workouts page AND remember to log your score when you’re done with the workout.
See you in class.

What an amazing start to the CrossFit Open with 26.1!!! From the turnout to the energy, everything was bigger than I had hoped for. Thank you for contributing. I hope you’re half as excited as I am for week 2.
I’d like to address some of the questions I have been getting from members.
Is it better to go Rx and struggle for a few reps or go Scaled and get a lot of reps? Go Rx. This is a competition, not just another day in class. Your overall rank will be higher with 1 rep of Rx than 200 reps of Scaled. It’s also a great way to push yourself to do something you may not have thought you could. (But don’t do something dangerous!)
I didn’t do the first workout or log my score, should I still come to the other workouts? YES! If you are registered for The Open then you’re still eligible to enter scores for the other workouts. It’s a big ask to complete all three workouts, so take advantage of whatever opportunity you can. I don’t think there is a single person from Saturday that wishes they had not done the workout.
Lastly, print your score sheets and bring them on Saturday. It’s going to be a good one!
Thank you for your support.
I look forward to what we will do together.
