The Fittest Drop In

Deep Squats (Thoughts)

Games, Games, Games. Yes, it’s a lot of talk about The Games. This time of year is like CrossFit Christmas Season and The Super Bowl rolled into one.

“Our Team” from CrossFit Sodra Wattern finished in 6th place overall! Congrats, Team! We’re so proud! I can’t wait till one of our members drops into their gym in Sweden and sends a pic.

While most of the chatter is about the top athletes and events, we can also revel in the global community we are all a part of. Focusing on our members dropping in while traveling and the visitors we entertain is the most obvious way to demonstrate this unique trait of CrossFit.

Of note, last Wednesday, we had a huge group drop in from CrossFit Kinesis in Omaha, Nebraska. Their leader, and OG affiliate owner, is Kyle Kasperbauer. Kyle is currently the only athlete in the world to have earned CrossFit Games podium finishes in three different divisions: Team, Individual, and Masters. (Yes, we scaled him up on the wall ball weight!)

Jen swung by the vendor village during The Games and caught a pic with Mirjam van Rohr. Games competitor and CrossFit Open winner in ‘24, ‘25 and 2nd in ‘26! CrossFit gyms are creating fans of the fittest in a unique way. We can relate more closely to what the competitors are doing than almost any other sport.

Another fun drop-in story happened last week. A visitor from China came to visit. I started the normal line of questioning assuming he was here for The Games. WRONG! Just another tech bro here for an AI conference. I don’t think he even knew The Games were happening. No problem. He got a great workout, regardless.

In case you didn’t know, The Open starts in 204 Days! It might be time to buy that jump rope you’ve had in your shopping cart.

See you in class.

The Agency on Paramount+

Martian (two-time Academy® Award nominee Michael Fassbender) is a covert CIA agent, ordered to abandon his undercover life and return to London Station. When the love he left behind reappears, romance reignites. His career, his real identity and his mission are pitted against his heart—hurling them both into a deadly game of international intrigue and espionage.

Tim’s Takeaway: Another fun binge watch on while on airplanes. Like the series, Suits, the main characters continue to frustrate with their choices. But, the creators clearly know just how much to push the patience of the audience because it’s not frustrating enough to quit watching. Enjoy. Let me know what you think and what you recommend.

Thank you for your support.

I look forward to what we will do together.
